Special Agent Cody Last

Well, Cody had a big day. Today was Take Your Turkey To Work Day. He came to work with Mommy since Ashlee is away visiting her family for Thanksgiving. And because most of my colleagues were also away, just in case he was in Monster Mode. But no, it turns out that he put on his charming pants this morning. And he used them to charm the pants off everyone he met. He had a great time with everyone, especially the ladies. But there was one highlight -- at least for me. He got to see Director Mueller again (last time he was only 5 weeks old) and this time, he was much more entertaining. He pulled out ALL the stops -- crawling, jumping, giggling, the works.

But best of all was when he started dancing with the big guy.

Sitting Pretty

So this morning when we went to get Cody up, we found him sitting up in his crib. We thought maybe it was a fluke. But no, he has officially figured out how to get from crawling to sitting. Which should make things much easier on his little knees.

Here's the progression:

Bonding with Daddy

So Glad I Spent Money on Toys

Again. A new "toy." This went on all afternoon. Best thing he'd ever played with, aside from the mac-n-cheese box.

Cody in the Kitchen

Cody was "helping" me bake for Thanksgiving today.

It was all a lot of fun...until he discovered there was something better. Something to CLIMB on. Sigh. He became less helpful at this point. :)

When Cody Met Rob

As a rule, CJP is normally fond of new people. He takes after his mother that way. But Rob Arena stopped by yesterday and Cody went positively nuts for him--wouldn't stop smiling, couldn't take his eyes off of him.

The reason, of course, is that Rob is the first person Cody's met with hair cooler than his.

Roly Poly

Mom said these show off my rolls really well. I don't know what that's about but she was trying to get me into the tub and I just had other stuff to do.

Tupperware Party

Mom got me the greatest new toys! Only she says they're not new and they're not technically toys. But anything I play with is a toy and I LOVE these. They are called Tupperware!

You can stack them! And slide them across the floor while Mommy gets your bottle ready! And crash them! And eat them! These are amazing.

I know where Mommy keeps them. They are right behind this door. I bet I can get in there and find more toys. I just have to wait until she's not looking...

Ain't No Mountain High Enough

Yep. I can do it. I can scale that chair.

Ok...here we go...

Yesssssssss!

Uh oh...CRASH!

That was AWESOME! YAY! Let's do it AGAIN!

Meanwhile, one level down...

After reaching the table, Cody was bound and determined to go to his exersaucer and try to climb through it.

I couldn't figure out what was so fascinating until I went to the other side.

Tags. Of course. They MUST be destroyed. Yum yum yum yum yum.

Moving Right Along

Well, in just a few days we've moved from almost crawling to unstoppable. About 2 minutes before I took these, he was all the way across the living room playing with his rings. I was in the kitchen and suddenly heard his little panting breaths mere inches away, on the other side of the wall...

Apparently it was terribly important to reach the table leg.

Beautiful Dreamer

Sweetest boy ever. This is his favorite blanket, having tried all of them. It's one my cousin Karen made him when I was pregnant, and he is totally attached to it. He finds a way to wrap it around himself yet keep one corner accessible to hold while he sucks his thumb until he zonks.
