It's been a busy couple of weeks! I don't know that I'll have a moment for a real update, so here's a quick catch-up on the Last family doings...
Happy St. Patrick's Day! On the way home from early Mass I stopped at Giant to get green donuts. They were already sold out! But alas, Judy had put aside some green cupcakes, God bless her. : )
We've had a lot of cold and/or bad weather, so we have gone to town crafting. We painted toilet paper rolls and egg carton pieces to make vases with tulips in them. Next up will be paper towel roll rocket ships. (Oh, what a gripping life I do lead.)

Cordelia has been enjoying our "girls only" mornings. In fairness, these are often more "girls 45 minutes somewhere." We take a stack of books to Starbucks or Wegmans and have a snack and read. It's not exactly exotic, but it is special time and there's something about being out of the house with a stack of books that really appeals to her right now. We had lunch at Panera one day last week (Emma was a champ and wanted to join us on the table) and read Duck Sock Hop about eight times, with grilled cheese and chocolate milk. She was in heaven, reminding me that it's the simple things that make them happiest (okay, not that it's exactly simple to get both kids, the bucket, the books, the lunch box, etc. in and out...but it's easier than with three kids! : )
We had a glorious day last week and spent the whole afternoon at Pebble Playground. Emma mostly slept.
He looks so huge, doesn't he?
She was jealous that she couldn't figure out how to sit up there, too.
Surfing in the sandbox.
Meanwhile, little E continues to grow new rolls of chunk. She's loving her little play mat and has discovered the adorable baby in the mirror that hangs down from the cow. (It's hard to believe that as a professional adult I just wrote that sentence.)
And Cody has taken his ship play to a new level. Here, he has taken his pictures and toys and put them onto his bunk bed (the big ship). Notice that John Paul II and Blessed Mother Teresa are passengers on the ship. (Not pictured: Vatican flag hanging down in place of a Jolly Roger.) He then rolled out his tot cot, so that it could be the rescue rowboat, and filled it with all the evacuees. I wish you could hear the narration. It's a whole....event.
