Sleeping Beauty

Perhaps these are only cute to me. But he just looks so comfy. He always starts like this, with Patches firmly under his right arm and his thumb in his mouth.

But before too long, the butt ascends, and stays there all night. It's fun to potch it. How do you spell potch anyway?

Mad as Hatters

Mommy and I took a walk in our big funny hats!! I took mine off all by myself right after this picture so I could chew on it and then drop it. It was awesome.

Happy Tuesday!

I am practicing my push-ups!!

Daddy's Little Boy

I love my Daddy! We had the best weekend!

First Ride Sans SnugRide

Yesterday, Cody was thrilled to hear the news:

We thought he was big enough to try his stroller without being cooped up in his carseat. He loved being able to stretch out and see the world in front of him, instead of my boring face.

"And What's With All The Carrots?"

"What do they need such good eyesight for anywayyyyyy?"

"BUNNIES! BUNNIES IT MUST BE BUNNIES!!"

Or maybe midgets.

Here's Looking At You, Granny

Mom, since you have been having the same "conversation" with Cody all week, thought you might want to hear what he has to tell you now:

Working Hard, then Hardly Working

I am still practicing my sitting! It's the only thing I want to practice now! I like practicing on my new playmat.

(Note the drool)

But practicing on DADDY is so much more fun!!!!!

Mommy's Sweet Potato

Another rapturous hit.

Perspective is Everything

We like to joke that his legs are so, well...ample that they look like tree trunks.

Here, they really do. : )

Yes yes, very funny, Cody.

Monkey See, Monkey Do...

...Monkey Feet. He spent a good while yesterday trying to pull the monkey down from its perch with his feet. And succeeded several times. : )

(P.S. in the top picture, he in fact staring at his face in the mirror the whole time. And managed to detach the mirror, and then hold it over his face, and eventually slobber all over it. Ah, the vanity.)

Someone's Tubby

We've also been experimenting with the toddler side of the tub, since all CJP wants to do now is sit. So far he likes it, though can't quite sit up without sliding back down. : )

This Would Warm Wilford Brimley's Heart

We've moved on to oatmeal. So far, a hit.

The World Is Not Enough

CJP has found a whole new world in his exersaucer. So much so that we took it to Granny's last week. So much so that he convinced me that probably it should stay at Granny's, and he should have a second one -- with even more bells and whistles -- at home. (We had this riveting conversation while browsing through Babies-R-Us, where I have not yet been since having Cody. And should probably never go again, because it turns out I am a sucker for it. It's my new Loft. And I am the poorer for it, as evidenced by the below.)

Translation: "WAIT! I know there is a mirror here somewhere!! Where is that cute baby?? EEEEEEEEK!!! AAACCCCK!!"

The Boys Are Back in Town

And even Cody's hair is celebrating.

Lake Effect

You can't really tell from the picture, but towards the end of Cody's meal, things got really messy. Much more came out then went in. When I took off his bib there was a little lake (or pond? Hmmm...) of milky cereal. Also, Jetty sneezed with a mouthful of cereal. So instead of getting it only all over parts of him, he got it over ALL of him, and me too.

Mary Had A Little Cash

Dad! Pop-Pop has a noise machine too! He played me songs. I was mostly nonplussed but I think when I can reach his noise machine I will do a really good job at it, don't you?

Beloved in Belmar

HI DAD!

Today I went to visit my Godmother Aunt Mary Beth, and Uncle Walter too! We had a great time. We walked on the boardwalk! And we played! And I showed them how I roll over! And Uncle Walter gave me beer hugs!

We had such a good visit. Granny came too! And Aunt Mary Beth and I started to make plans for our next visit. Sometime this fall ok? Mommy forgot my cereal so I couldn't show her how I eat. She forgot a lot of things actually. But she remembered KEYS, WALLET, CELL PHONE, CODY!!!!!

LOVE YOU DAD!

Bubbles Boy

Hi Dad! Mom is still in charge of bathtime. Don't tell her I told you so but it's just not as good as when you give me baths.

For one thing I'm really clean. And for another, look at her lame attempt at shampoo horns. It looks more like a wilted mohawk. I think maybe she just doesn't understand HOW to do shampoo horns the right way. The way YOU do. Oh well. You will be home soon, right?

Just to say hi

Hi Daddy I just wanted to say we miss you! XOXO! Love, CODY (and Mom too)

Baby Mozart

DADDY!!!

GRANNY HAS A NOISE MACHINE AT HER HOUSE! AND I GOT TO PLAY ON IT!! IT WAS SO AWESOME! CAN WE GET ONE?

Since U Been Gone

HI DAD! I'm sorry I haven't had time to blog. I have been so busy! You won't believe all that has been happening! First, Aunt Hannah and her WHOLE FAMILY came to visit me!! Even Derek! I think I might have freaked Derek out. Mom said someday they will have an adult conversation that doesn't center on me but for now I'm it. I had cereal for them but I was overstimulated so I got a little fussy and spit a lot out. But it was ok because Robbie made me a new bib! With a jet on it! For Jetty!

Then I apparated to Granny's!!! Actually this time we drove. I know because I was supposed to be sleeping but instead I did a lot of singing in the car for Mom. We went to visit Uncle Bob and Aunt Cheryl and MY GODBROTHER CAME! (And Ali and Dave too.) Look! Dylan is reading with me!

There's more news but I have to go now! LOVE YOU MISS YOU LOVE YOU!
