Cody is Two!

Happy belated birthday, little dude! We celebrated all weekend, with family and friends coming just to see Cordelia Cody! He got some ridiculously awesome presents, starting with Daddy's Avengers Number Two and Mom's slightly more practical for the day-to-day Water Table. A stroke of genius, if you ask me.




Aunt Hannah's birthday visit was a special highlight--and not just because she had trains to give.



We ended a great day with Five Guys and ice cream -- what better way to end the 730th day of his life?


The next day, we did it all over again. (The key to having a second child is to give birth just before the first child's birthday, so he thinks all the fuss is about him.) He had a fantastic time with all his loved ones.






But the most genius present of all--aside from Grandma Robbie's birthday card, which plays music every time you open it--was his new forklift fork from his Uncle Chris, which really came in handy when it was time for his birthday cake. : )




And lest you find yourself terribly impressed by my post-natal blogging prowess, I hereby admit that I just spelled "genius" wrong the first time I posted this.

Shannon and Cordelia finally came home from the hospital today. Here's what happened when Cody first got a look at his baby sister.

I'm A Big Brother!

Mom said I could do the announcement...drumroll, please!! I have a little sister! I haven't met her yet but I can't wait! Her name is Cordelia Mary Last. She was born on April 5 at 1:45 p.m. She weighed 7 pounds, 5 ounces and was 19.5 inches long. That's little! She is so pretty! Just like I am so handsome!




I love you Cordy! Come home soon Mommy!!

Back to my Roots

Yesterday was the best day! When I woke up, Mommy said, "Guess where we're going, Cody? Old Town!" We had breakfast at Buzz! And then Aunt Monika came and played with me there! I love her so much.

Then, we went to the awesome playground behind my old house where I used to live when I was a baby. We played on everything and had the best time.





And THEN, we went to Smoothie Matt's, and I got a JETTY JUNIOR -- my favorite!

Now I am much bigger and I can do it my own self. In 5 days I will be 2 years old!
