CJP's perfect day

On Cody's 5-week birthday, all the stars aligned and we were finally able to time it so that I could bring him to my office to meet my colleagues. Cody was awake and alert the entire time, and zonked out only after he had finished making the rounds. The highlight for him was meeting the FBI Director, who joked that it was never too early to get him a little baby gun and badge for his car seat. I'm not sure he's ready for a sidearm, since he can't quite grip a rattle yet, but we'll see. After meeting all the bigwigs at the Bureau, and all of my friends, Cody then slept next to me in his stroller for an hour and a half while I got to go to lunch like an actual grown-up. Every day won't be so perfect, but this was a fantastic one.
