A great start to a great day

After being informed that waking up before 6:00 a.m. was unacceptable, Cody woke up at 6:01 and wanted to go outside and see the beach.



So we all hung out on the deck for about an hour and a half, and then...

It's been wicked windy, but yesterday morning CJP made his first trip to the beach, early in the morning, in his pajamas.

Yesterday, Cody had his first foray into a pool. We weren't sure what he would think so we took it slow...

At the Beach!

The most amazing thing happened to me today.

I went to sleep last night in my own room like usual. When I woke up this morning I was AT THE BEACH!!!!!


Mommy said I was an amazing traveler and slept all the way. I don't really know what she's talking about. It was magic how we got here!


And Aunt Kelly got here too somehow! This is amazing! First things first: time to wake her up.


And OH MY GOODNESS IT GETS BETTER! MOMMY BOUGHT ME A SURFBOARD!!!!!! NOW I CAN BE A SURFER DUDE JUST LIKE MY DADDY! GNARLEY! HANG LOOSE! OR HANG TEN! OR SOMETHING! THIS IS SO AWESOME!!!




Also, did you notice how my blue chair and my playmat got here too somehow? It's just like at home but so much better because it's the beach! Ok, so I haven't actually been to the beach yet. Mommy keeps talking about how it's too sunny and wondering if I will like something called sand. She says we will find out later one way or another. I will keep you posted!

Today was either a milestone or a fluke (I think I can guess which) but Cody took three naps...in his crib. One of them was about 2 hours! And this was the sweet faccia that greeted me when he awoke.

I can't decide which is cuter, the crazy hair or the rolls of fat. : )

Morning Nap with my Daddy

This is what Daddy and I did when Mommy went to Buzz this morning to get some work done. I just snuggled right in to Mommy's spot on her bed. It was so much better than working.

Bonding with my Granny

This has been a great week! My Granny came to stay with me for a few days so Mommy could practice going back to work. Mommy cried and cried but I didn't -- I played and played with Granny! We had such a good time. I was sad to see her go but I got to show her everything I do all day. I didn't even throw up on her, not once!
