First, the bad news: he had his 6 month checkup and had to get 5 immunizations!! : (

However, he was a "stone cold stud, " to quote JVL, and had even the doctors and nurses commenting on how good and patient and calm and good-tempered he was. (This was before the shots. But he did pretty great after them too -- just conked out for 2 hours.)
The good news: it seems that after a week on Baby Zantac, we have begun to tame the feeding problems. Too bad we spent our retirement savings -- not that we have any anymore -- on a thousand different kinds of bottles. It seems to have been acid reflux -- when he would eat he would just get an awful burning feeling, which led to the crazy freakouts and lack of eating. But somehow, even after 4 weeks on the starvation diet, he weighed in at 18 pounds, 6 ounces. (And he's 26 1/2 inches! And his head continues to grow. 90th percentile, baby.) Anyway, now that he is on meds and they have helped calm him, we're hoping he will pick up the pace on the drinking. Not that he's wasting away...

Anyway, to celebrate, he got a prize: boy toys. Cars and trucks and things that go. He was fascinated even before he got them open...

And once he did, he went nuts for them. Especially when he discovered there were 4 of them that nest into each other. And that they make noise and stuff. Awesome.
