"Cordelia is a...Person?"

Cody and I were talking today about Cordelia's fussiness, and I was explaining that it was because little people don't have words, and so they cry, but that it's ok, because they are just getting their feelings out. Cody looks up at me and says:

"Cordelia is a person, Mom?"

I say yes, she is -- a little person. He then says:

"Cordelia is a little person. But someday she will get big? And she will learn to walk! And then Cody will hold her hand and we will go across the street together! And Cody will keep her safe."

And then I burst into tears.
