One of Shannon's most endearing traits is her amazing ability to memorize verse. When we first started dating she would rattle off stanza after stanza--Keats, Browning, Frost, Auden. It's as charming as it is impressive. Happily, she seems to have passed this on.
I wandered lonely as a cloud
That floats on high o'er vales and hills,
When all at once I saw a crowd,
A host, of golden daffodils;
Beside the lake, beneath the trees,
Fluttering and dancing in the breeze.

Note the "when we started dating" I could do this. Ten years, two jobs, and two kids later, my brain is utter mush. Oh well. Nice while it lasted. : )
Next up: Ode on a Grecian Urn? : )
I am in awe. xoxo
