Leverage

By now, Cody is so tight with his Garbage Gentlemen Buddies, as he calls them, that last week's Garbage Truck Stalk (every Monday morning at 6:30 on Sulky Court; be there or be square) had an historic twist. It started off like usual...
But then Cody screwed his courage to the sticky place and asked these kind gentlemen the Really Big Favor, the one he's been dying to ask for weeks now: "Guys? Is it ok if I do the lever my own self? May I please crush the garbage in the hopper mayIplease?!"

How could they resist? And so on Monday, August 8, 2011, Cody John Paul Last, age 3, pushed the lever, and crushed the garbage in the hopper. And crushed it. He has been in his glory ever since.
Cordelia was rather nonplussed. It was breakfast time, after all. So off we went, in hot pursuit. Hot, in that I'm dragging 60+ pounds of not-so-little Lasts (not to mention the wagon). But it's really more of a slow pursuit, when you get right down to it, because it's a garbage truck.

Oh Cody ..... you got so much practice when you would take Granny's threads and put them in your very own truck and "crush" them in the hopper! I am so happy that you had a chance to do it for real with the Sulky Court garbage gentlemen! Good job!

Oh Cordelia ... your hair is soooo beautiful! I love you!
