Happy Birthday, Cordelia!

Lots of wishes came true for Cordelia, who told everyone today, "Hello! I am two years OLD!" For starters, she got a new car. (This will probably never happen again.)

Cordelia took the granting of another dearly cherished wish into her own sweet hands today. We were at school after we dropped Cody off, hiding eggs all over the playground for the children to find. For months now, she's been trying to figure out a way into school. Today, she just went for it. As the kids lined up, she just sneaked right in and went inside. (Forgive the quality of the pictures; I inadvertently messed up the focus so most of them aren't that clear, but you get the idea.)

And then went right to work. Line time, story time, doing "the piggy bank job!" (and talking about Aunt Hannah the whole time) and "helping" someone else out with his job.

For his part, Cody gave the extremely forbearing Ms. Leavesley--who shares his birthday!!--a new dinosaur puzzle for the classroom, as they've been learning about dinosaurs recently. He went straight to work breaking it in for her.
For lunch, she asked to picnic on the curb at the construction site in Occoquan. I'm not kidding.
But the best part came after nap...she finally realized her ultimate dream of cupcakes in a dump truck. And I added a twist...cupcakes in a dump truck...in a dump truck!
