The last two weekends have been busy! The weather has been perfect, so we've been trying to grab every moment of autumn sunshine we can! These are from today -- our annual (and first of a few) visit to the pumpkin patch at Lake Ridge Nursery.

Last week, the neighborhood kids raced around collecting acorns to see if they could fill the giant vat.
They did it!
Last weekend, we visited Merrifield Garden Center and met Kelly & Mark there. It was a fabulous morning...they even had a train!
This is where we took Cordelia on her first birthday, and she was just as enchanted then as now by the "wind chime room." Check out the size of those pipes!
Once we got home, the guys got right to work in the yard, planting our new trees. (Let's hope they do better than the old trees.)
They took a coffee break, though. :)
