Brother-Sister Stuff

On Saturday, Pop-Pop and I took C&C to the Air and Space Annex. Some parts of it were very special. For instance, here's Pop-Pop sharing a moment with Cody and explaining to him (in a totally appropriate manner) the significance of the Enola Gay. It's a great grandparenting moment:

After that, things got . . . utterly macabre. Suffice it to say, even on a trip to a magical place filled with airplanes, their first IMAX movie, and an afternoon snack that consisted of astronaut ice-cream sandwiches, Cody and Cordelia could not get along.

But every once in a while, dawn breaks through the gloom. This morning I let the kids watch Tangled while I got breakfast together. During one of the (not terribly) intense scenes, Cody announced that he could no longer watch it, because he was too scared. Cordelia immediately replied, "That's okay brother! Come here and I will cuddle you and everything will be okay!" And so she did.

Despite everything, she loves him so damn much.
