Unforgiven

Today, when I picked Cody up, he was walking around the playground, hand in hand with one of the aides, Miss Jaka. He hugged and kissed her goodbye and she said to me, "He is the most darling child. He is so kind. A little while ago Bailey fell off the monkey bars and got hurt, and the second Cody saw it, he went running to her side, all upset, to check on her." I concurred that he was sweet, but pointed out that he is anything but when it comes to Cordelia-bird. She did not believe me. A few minutes ago, Cody concluded a massive tantrum after being removed from the room for having, yet again, shouted nonsense at Birdie (among other things). He came down and said, "Cordelia, I am sorry for screaming aggressive nonsense into your face. Do you forgive me?"

Apparently Cordelia has had enough of Cody's Jekyll and Hyde routine. She looked at him appraisingly and said, "No."

Cody and I were stunned and didn't quite know what to say. She turned on her heel and shot back over her shoulder, "CoCo! Fuss! ALL DONE FUSS."
