So Emma seems to be a little ahead of the game all of a sudden. I went in to get her from her nap the other day to find her halfway out of the crib, just leaning over the rail. She looked more concerned about this than I did. We lowered her mattress a notch. Two days later, she was back up near the rail. We lowered it again. She has gone from being content to crawl (from couch to fireplace in about 15 seconds, sadly) to being dissatisfied unless she is standing. The physics of it mystify me, though -- how can those drumsticks support her?
