At first, Cora wasn't that happy about the idea of the boys going to the beach by themselves.
But then we started plotting our own fun. Not surprisingly, most of her ideas involved sugar and screen time -- real treats for her, and why not? We did popcorn and movies, baking, playground, and--back by popular demand--pedicures. She painted my toes, by which I mean, she painted my actual toes. Not so much the nails, but boy did I have sparkly purple feet. For days.
There was so much batter we needed to pull her hair back.
The pedicures and manicures, btw, took place around 7:15 a.m. She couldn't wait to start Girls Weekend. : )
Look at the hair. I mean, really.
It was treasured time. But I confess: this was the best part.
