Rhyme Scheme

A few minutes ago Cody and I talking about and practicing rhymes, something we haven't done all that often. I started out basic.

Me: Cat rhymes with bat.
Cordelia: BAT!
Cody: And mat. And sat. And rat. And hat!
CML: HAT!
Me: Okay, well, we've got that one. Can you think of a rhyme now?
CML: Now!
CJP: Um...concerned...rhymes with...upturned!
Me: Oh, my. Yes, yes it does. Upturned. Indeed. Any others?
CJP: Neglected!
Me: Neglected?
CJP: Like in the Mr. Chris Martin song (Coldplay).
CML: Song!
Me: Yes, but can you think of a rhyme for neglected? That's a hard one.
CJP: Um...protected. That rhymes! And...infected?

Game over. I guess I can skip getting The Cat in the Hat out of the library.

Mr. Cody is a poet
and he doesn't even know it.

Maybe Santa will bring him a rhyming dictionary. What 3 year doesn't need that?!

He surely is your son, Shannon. Amazing. She repeats and he rhymes. Love it!

AAAHH!! EEEEEEE!!! Seriously... he's unbelievable!! I like Cordelia's contributions to the conversation, too. :)
