Sir Cody and the Yellow Knight

Cody has been really, really into knights lately. And King Arthur. And Camelot. And medieval toilets. You know. He's going to be a knight for Halloween, in fact — the first non-superhero costume since this.

So Jonathan had the brilliant idea of taking him to Medieval Times—just the two of us. We went. It was, as Cody told me, EPIC. We paid (through the nose) extra to have him knighted, and boy, was it worth it. See for yourself…

Here are some highlights from what was really an awesome afternoon.

He drank soup from a bowl, toured the dungeon, and we got a glow-in-the-dark jousting thingie. He was at the perfect age: not too young to be overwhelmed and/or bored—he drank in every detail. And not too old to be at all embarrassed to shout and scream and cheer for our knight to triumph in battle (he didn't).

Epic.

Sorry but I must correct you! Last year, he was not a superhero. He was a king cobra.

He's still my favorite polar bear ever. Xoxo
